Industrial Lanscape
Acrylic on canvas
This piece is intended to subvert the viewer's idea of a what a "landscape" is by turning all the traditional elements of a landscape painting on it's head, in order to show the range of what an environment can be.
It is dark and muted, with very little colour and no green space. It is up close and claustrophobic rather than open and sprawling. It is made up of harsh angles and lines rather than organic shapes, and it features the cold hard textures of concrete and glass, with exposed wires and pipes.
